Kevin Taylor - Chair

Kevin Taylor owns and operates Glory Studios, a music teaching and production studio, just outside of Bancroft. He has a background in marketing and advertising, owning several successful businesses over the past 40 years. He considers himself to be semi retired, which allows him time to volunteer with Little Blue Cabins, the OHT (Ontario Health Team) and his local church.

Over the past 30 years in the Bancroft area, Kevin has worked with Community Futures developing both marketing and youth initiatives, held the postitions of President for the Algonquin Arts Council, Chair of the Performing Arts Committe and Arts Festival Bancroft.

Ken Balmer - Vice Chair

Ken Balmer lives in Birds Creek, at High Falls and is active in Bancroft’s art community. RETHINK, his consulting company has provided governance, strategic planning, fundraising and communications advice to many national health and disability organizations, universities, and local governments since 1974.

His interest and experience in developing services for those with unmet, complex needs brought him to Little Blue Cabins – supports for those who find themselves homeless, unemployed and dealing with mental health and/or addiction challenges all at the same time.

Debbie Christie - Secretary

Debbie Christie is a retired Social Worker who has always believed in giving back to her community. She was drawn to social work to bring justice to the underserved. She spent 30 years in Mental Health and Addictions; and delighted in seeing the big changes people can make in their lives with a little bit of encouragement.

She has worked on several Boards of Directors, including but not limited to, a community legal aid organization, a long term care facility and she was an inaugural Executive Director of a newly formed Council on Aging, giving her much experience in incorporation of a new organization.

Debbie hopes to make a difference in the lives of the under and unhoused in this community. LBC will greatly benefit from her experience and loving heart.

Heather Johns - Treasurer

A graduate of McMaster University, Heather Johns has lived in Bancroft, Ontario since 2000. She has been active in the community in a number of volunteer and financial services capacities over the years and is a past president of the Bancroft and District Chamber of Commerce.

Heather has served on several Boards, and is currently a Director for North Hastings Community Trust.

Solataire Robinson - Director

Solataire Robinson, a dedicated resident of the Bancroft area for over 7 years, resides in L'amable with her four young boys. She is currently in the process of constructing an eco-friendly home using recycled car tires, showcasing her commitment to sustainable living.

Passionate about community building, Solataire actively works to make a positive impact in her community. She is deeply involved in initiatives aimed at breaking down stigmas associated with poverty and substance use disorders.

Solataire who is an Associate Addictions Counsellor with the CACCF, is currently pursuing her BA in psychology at Trinity Western University, complemented by a diploma in Addictions and Community Services. She is also certified in Somatic Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and holds micro-credentials in trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, opiate poisoning response, first aid, and crisis prevention, among others.

Tracy McGibbon Advisory Liasion - Town of Bancroft

A lifelong resident of the Bancroft area Tracy is a wife, mother, municipal councillor, small business owner and is well connected in the community.

With a background in municipal governance, policy writing and community engagement Tracy brings experience and perspective to the table. Her compassion, willingness to serve, heart for people, and genuine care for the well being of everyone in her community makes Tracy a natural fit to LBC.
